Gangneung-Wonju National University, with its 73-year tradition, was merged in 2007 under the founding philosophy of freedom, truth, and creation, and currently has campuses in Gangneung and Wonju respectively. It is emerging as a core university in the central region with more than 8,100 employees and 8,100 students working together. We are making an advanced national university through continuous educational innovation. Through continuous structural reform and innovation, our university ranks 5th in low-translation books per full-time faculty, 6th in a number of students per full-time faculty, and dormitory accommodation among the '2019 major publicly announced indicators of 28 national and public universities announced by the University Education Council.
